Wedneday came so quick, and I haven't even had the chance to think about this!Artist of the Week: Bright Eyes. Bloody amazing. Downloaded a few of his stuff the other day because I've been hearing heaps about him, Conor Oberst has an addictive voice that quivers with emotion, and you can't help but want more. 'Lover I Don't Have to Love' is simply brilliant. Looking forward to buying the albums.Song of the Week: 'Boys and Girls' by 67 Special, from their new EP -- also titled 'Boys and Girls' -- released on March 20th. On my birthday list for sure! 'Boys and Girls' is a very rock song, and has the ability to be stuck in your head for a day at least. Not that you'd mind! Anyway, if you haven't checked out 67 Special before, you definitely should. Promising stuff. Very cool filmclip for 'Boys and Girls' as well. 67Special.com.

Artist of the Week: Wolfmother. All I can say is, jump on the bandwagon before everyone else does. Just for the satisfaction of being able to say, "I liked/knew about Wolfmother before they were cool!" (I can say this about Jet, and damn, it's a good feeling). You should definitely check out their insanely awesome track 'Woman', if you haven't already. They're being majorly hyped up, especially by Channel [V], as "the" band for 2005. Song of the Week: 'E-Pro' by Beck. Simply because of it's extreme catchyness. I know a song being catchy doesn't always mean that it's good, but I think it's a winner. Hear this song once and you'll be singing "Nah nah, nah nah nah nah.." for the rest of the day. Beck's new album is 'Guero', and although it's been leaked onto the internet already, it'll be released at the end of March.

I hereby declare Wednesday Artist of the Week and Song of the Week day. Artist of the Week: Gyroscope. Hard rock band out of Perth. Released an album last year, 'Sound Shattering Sound'. Songs to check out are 'Take This For Granted', 'Safe Forever' (my personal favourite), and 'Get Down'. Definitely some talent. Song of the Week: 'Golden Touch' by Razorlight. This song gets my feet tapping and all. Yeah. If you like the Strokes and the Libertines, you'll like this song.
